This side event to the 63rd session session of the Human Rights Council (HRC63) is part of a horizon-scanning exercise of the UN Special Rapporteur on toxics and human rights.

About this Event
The newly-appointed UN Special Rapporteur on the implications for human rights of the environmentally sound management and disposal of hazardous substances and wastes (toxics and human rights), Bethanie Carney Almroth will have her first interactive dialogue before the Human Rights Council. Following this exchange, the Special Rapporteur wishes to undertake a horizon-scanning exercise and hear directly from participants regarding priority issues for the mandate and urgent concerns requiring attention.
